Stailer, the online booking platform for beauty salons, has invested 100,000 euros in a project based on artificial intelligence (AI), which allows the simulation and visualization of different hairstyles and hair colors based on a photo of the user.

The startup was founded by Andrei Ursachi (CEO) and Bogdan Clipici (CBO),  together with Attila Gere (CTO) and Naliciadji Vladislav (Chief Product Officer).

The new application is already on the top of the list of downloads in Romania, and the company estimates that over 500,000 users will use the new tool by the end of 2024.

Currently, the application offers the possibility to view 52 hairstyles and 15 hair colors.

«This new tool is a feature that uses artificial intelligence and allows users to imagine a change of look. It’s a virtual hairstyle trial app that helps people see what they’d look like with different hair styles without having to cut or dye their hair. It’s for people who want to change their appearance, but want to see what it looks like first before making a permanent change,» explains Attila Gere, Stailer CTO.

Stailer, which delivers 40,000 customers monthly to 700 partner salons and has a total number of 180,000 active users, turned to researcher Marius Leordeanu, a professor at the Technical University of Bucharest, to coordinate the artificial intelligence implementation projects.
