The Ibiza Light Festival is already established as one of the island’s most important autumn events. Fusing art, technology and cultural heritage, it is a unique spectacle that transforms the exceptional historical and monumental surroundings of Dalt Vila .
This year the festival, which will be held on the weekend of November 8 and 9 under the title Inspiration, will be a special edition , as its celebration is part of the cultural agenda of the events commemorating the 25th anniversary this 2024 of the declaration of Ibiza as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
In addition to its artistic significance, the Ibiza Light Festival also highlights the rich cultural and architectural heritage of Dalt Vila, the ancient walled city. By integrating creativity and technology with history and architecture, the festival stands out for its ability to combine tradition and modernity.
The festival, now in its eighth edition , is distinguished by its innovative approach, being a pioneer in Spain in the category of light festivals. The mix of light installations, multimedia projections, music and interactive art attracts both locals and visitors, offering a multi-sensory experience in a unique historical setting.
The Santa Llúcia bastion , one of the bastions of the Renaissance wall surrounding Dalt Vila, will be the main stage for the Ibiza Light Festival, which will transform the iconic image of the old city for two days with an ephemeral experience of light and colour and will show the artistic and technological possibilities of light. Installations, sculptures and projections will make up a surprising itinerary in an eclectic , immersive and interactive artistic and technological proposal aimed at all audiences, inciting the discovery or rediscovering of a monumental architectural environment that in autumn opens up as a space of creativity and expression for visual artists on the island.
