The line is dedicated to winter sports, primarily skiing and snowboarding, with a haute couture spirit and the polished streetwear aesthetic that characterizes the driver
Of course, the collection is accompanied by a campaign, photographed by Rafael Pavarotti , in which Hamilton takes centre stage wearing his clothes, as well as a new short film that shows the behind-the-scenes of the creation of the collection.
As expected, agility, excitement and innovation are present in this line dedicated to winter sports, mainly skiing and snowboarding, with a haute couture spirit and the polished streetwear aesthetic that characterizes Hamilton. The collection also reflects a lifestyle , with a color palette that combines bright blues, oranges and pinks, balanced with classic and subtle tones.
Historically, contemporary and with a personal touch, the line takes inspiration from Lewis’ African roots. The pilot shares, «Focusing on conscious choices and pushing boundaries with each piece, while merging inspiration from my roots in Africa —taking their fabrics and belief in natural materials, as well as the vibrant colors and powerful energy—was incredibly inspiring. I hope people everywhere feel good wearing these pieces we designed with such care.»
Kim Jones complements this idea by referring to the influence of Africa on the production: «We share a love of nature, a desire to celebrate Africa and an interest in artisanal processes and techniques that unite the artisans of Africa with the savoir-faire of Dior’s ateliers. On top of that, this collection also reflects Lewis’ sporty side, his virtuosity and our functionality. In short, it all came together in a very organic and pleasurable way.»
Featuring both ready-to-wear and accessories, the collection’s approach fuses the classic with the contemporary. Imagine the finesse and heritage of Japanese fabrics via the weavers of Burkina Faso , alongside traditional Dior tweed suits, as well as new African fabrics that are made more casual and fit with Hamilton’s signature layered style. These pieces are paired with loose-fitting denim, sweatshirts and fleece, made in part from organic or recycled textiles, expressing Dior’s commitment to sustainability.
As for accessories, they also take an approach where style meets technical performance, including protective gear specially developed in Sweden , custom snowboards from the Swiss factory 9 , messenger bags and backpacks made from ultra-resistant fabrics, and footwear crafted in Dior’s ateliers—like the retro-futuristic B44 Blade sneakers and snow-ready Derbys.
You can find the collection at Dior ‘s New Bond Street store , where they held a soirée to commemorate the collaboration, and it’s also available online at dior.com .
