A piece that resembles a bag of bread is part of the new collection by Pharrell Williams, who debuted last year as creative director of menswear for the French brand.
A recently launched bag by French brand Louis Vuitton that resembles a bag of bread has gone viral on social media. The “sandwich bag” was paraded in Paris last year at Pharrell Williams’ debut as the brand’s new creative director of menswear.
Inspired by paper sandwich bags from French bakeries, the bag costs R$20,600.00 on the Louis Vuitton website, but it is no longer available and there is a waiting list to buy.
Instead of paper, it is made of leather and has the same colors as the traditional Louis Vuitton shopping bag. It also has the same inscriptions “Louis Vuitton” and “Maison Fondée En 1854” and the interior features a zipper pocket and a double flat pocket to keep things organized, according to the brand’s website.
Other controversial scholarships
Louis Vuitton is not the only luxury brand to bring informal, everyday objects into its pieces. In 2022, Balenciaga launched a snack bag style bag and has also attracted attention with a trash bag bag, which cost R$10,000.
Recently, Adidas launched a bag in the brand’s shoe box format, made of leather, worth R$399.
