Caldea increases its turnover by 7% and reaches 11 million euros

by Forbes Andorra

The thermo-lodge has begun the first phase of the revitalisation works of the facilities

Caldea has ended the winter with a turnover of 11 million euros, which represents a 7% increase compared to 2023, according to the company’s announcement this morning. The thermal spa stresses that the increase in revenue has been due to the increase in the number of tickets, the sale of wellness services and the number of members of the sports club.

The managers of the thermal spa indicate that Caldea has received 210,000 customers between 1 December and 14 April and the average expenditure per visitor has also increased in all the complementary lines of business, such as that of treatments, which has increased sales by 8%. And they point out that the sports club for residents is now complete and continues with ‘a very good growth trend’. The valuation that the clients have given in the surveys carried out this winter has reached 8.5 out of 10, half a point more than last year, according to a press release.

Caldea points out that one of the spas is now open from Monday to Sunday on the first floor of the building and the larger water areas will be closed until the end of July. The thermologist explains that this marks the start of a transformation project that will last two and a half years with the aim of ‘reformulating the brand strategy, the complete refurbishment of some areas and the construction of a hotel in the Tower’. The first action this spring will be in the central hall, which will be reopened in August to celebrate its 30th anniversary. Next year, ‘other areas of the bathrooms will be refurbished and new attractions will be created, the restaurant will be replaced and a bridge will be built over the river to connect the south side of the building with the city’. The project is scheduled to be completed in 2026 with the opening of the hotel.
