The corporation also incorporates Jennifer Dobarro as coordinator of the Department of Talent and People Management.
The municipality of Andorra la Vella incorporates Jennifer Dobarro and Susagna Venable in the departments of Talent and People Management and Tourism and Commercial Promotion, respectively
The aim of the appointments is, according to a communiqué issued yesterday by the council, to ‘restructure the corporation’s organisational structure along the lines of the corporation’s activities’. Dobarro and Venable will be part of the council’s team as special staff and, therefore, they will provide temporary advisory services or trusted assistance to the councillors, as provided for in the Civil Service Law.
Among the tasks that Dobarro will carry out as coordinator of the Department of Talent and People Management are, among others, updating the functions and requirements of the different job positions to make the administration more agile and efficient, reinforcing the staff training plans and leading the study to find out the working environment. The incorporation of the expert in people management will speed up the personnel audit, with which the current majority wants to take measures to optimise the corporation’s human resources.
Dobarro will also take on the tasks related to the adaptation to electronic administration, as well as others that could not be carried out with the current staff and the day-to-day work of the department. In short, it will have to support the corporation in achieving the objectives set in terms of human resources.
With regard to the incorporation of Venable, the new head of support and dynamisation of commerce and business in the Department of Tourism and Commercial Promotion of the municipality will be in charge of promoting the area, maintaining a direct relationship with traders’ associations, carrying out the training and business support plan, verifying the census data and contact with the businesses in the parish and developing projects related to the promotion of new businesses. His incorporation will be effective as of today, as confirmed by the council.
Dobarro’s appointment was published in the BOPA on 3 April last year, and Venable’s appointment was published yesterday. Both have been proposed by the councillor major, Sergi González. Dobarro is an expert in people management and corporate sustainability. In the last general elections she was part of the candidacy of Concòrdia, one of the parties that make up Enclar, but she is not part of the formation. Venable, for her part, was president of the Federation of Andorran Traders’ Associations (FACA). In the last national elections, she was number two in the joint candidacy of the PS+Agrupament Encampadà for the Encamp parish.
